I'm delighted to introduce you to Bedford & Basil, the latest addition to the Gorgeous Event Management family. Based in the picturesque village of Denstone, nestled in the heart of Staffordshire, where vintage charm meets culinary excellence.
Our journey began in 2023 when the beloved Bedford & Basil truck joined our family. Known for my unwavering passion for feeding people, supporting local sourcing, and fostering community, Bedford & Basil stands as a testament to these values.
At the heart of it all is our motto – "Good Food Treated Simply," a philosophy that guides everything we do.
What drew me to this venture?
It was the irresistible charm of combining a vintage vehicle with the art of crafting delicious food. And when I discovered that the brand was born right here in Denstone, I knew it belonged here – a part of our local heritage.
It's with immense excitement and a touch of nostalgia that I carry forward the remarkable legacy of this wood-fired pizza truck.
Now, let's talk vintage vehicles. As enthusiasts, we proudly own seven vintage tractors and a cherished 1973 VW T2 Camper Van. However, it's our Vintage Bedford TJ series 1 that truly steals the show. A relic of Bedford's illustrious history, founded in 1931 by Vauxhall Motors in Luton, this iconic truck embodies toughness, durability, and reliability.
The first being built in 1958, but we believe our truck holds the distinction of being the only Bedford pizza truck in the world – a unique gem that adds character to every event.
